41st Annual Sugar Creek
Canoe & Kayak Races
Crawfordsville, Indiana


The Indiana Division of the United States Canoe Association held the 41st Annual Sugar Creek Canoe and Kayak Races, on Saturday, April 26, 2003.  Special thanks go out to the individuals who made this race happen, they include: Bob Stwalley, Ann Bennett, Diane Crisp, Crawfordsville Journal Review, Crawfordsville Fire Department and Rescue Team, Indiana DNR representatives.  

The water level for this years race was very good.  There were distinct channels of premium water to be found throughout the course.  Along with the water being in excellent condition, the weather was nearly perfect.  At race time, the temperature was 62 degrees with plenty of sun for everyone.  The water temperature was a cool 52 degrees.
