The Indiana Division of the United States Canoe Association would like to thank Steve Horney and his volunteers for their support of the Three Rivers Festival Canoe & Kayak Marathon Races.
The recreational course of 3.6 miles was from Shoaff Park to the St. Joe Center Rd Bridge and back, twice. The competition course of 6.8 miles was from Shoaff Park to Coliseum Rd bridge and back to Shoaff, then a second smaller loop from Shoaff to St. Joe Center Rd Bridge and back.
The weather was hot and humid, with temps in the low 90's. A mild breeze in the
morning became stronger for the afternoon races. The river was calm with almost
zero current.
