Wooden Canoe and Trail Museum - Much of the heritage of Maine is surrounded by canoes and wilderness trails. It is important that we preserve this important aspect of our outdoor heritage which to this day is highly valued and often sought after. It is under that premise that a wooden canoe and trails living museum be developed in the Millinocket area. We also host a Wooden Canoe Festival event the 3rd weekend of August. More details of the festival can be seen on our web site. Or e-mail us at:  canoes@katahdingateway.com
